New Hampshire residents speak out on primary
HANOVER, New Hampshire (CNN) -- Residents of Hanover, New Hampshire, are closely watching the primary process, whether or not they plan to vote. Most of the Democratic primary candidates have visited the college town -- home of Dartmouth College -- one or more times during the campaign. CNN.com's Liza Kaufman Hogan spoke with the residents in advance of the New Hampshire primary.
Reena Dutta, 21
Reena Dutta, a Dartmouth College senior, said she would vote for Sen. John Edwards. "I think he's hopeful and optimistic and has stayed away from mudslinging."
Carol and Bill Spotts
Carol and Bill Spotts of Wilmot, New Hampshire, are Republicans who plan to vote for Bush in the fall. Bill Spotts says he's tired of the primary scene. As Democrats go, he likes retired Gen. Wesley Clark but definitely not Sen. John Kerry.
Lisa Kelbalka, 42
Lisa Kelbalka talks to lots of voters as a bartender at Molly's. Her non-scientific bar poll puts Clark in the lead, but she says Kerry will probably win.
Austin Mills, 16
Austin Mills is too young to vote, but said if he could he'd vote for former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean as his parents plan to do.
Nick Santos, 19
Nick Santos, a Dartmouth College sophomore, plans to vote for Dean, who spoke on campus. "I was so invigorated by his speaking, I said, 'This is the guy for me.'"
