Bush campaign tracks Kerry online
Dubbed 'Journeys with John'
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Want to dog Democrat John Kerry as he travels from Florida to Louisiana to Texas this week?
You can, through President Bush's campaign Internet site.
Bush's re-election campaign has unveiled the John Kerry Travel Tracker, a Web site feature also dubbed "Journeys with John."
It allows viewers to click on the state where Kerry is on a given day and find out why Republicans believe "John Kerry is wrong" for that state.
When Kerry was in Florida on Tuesday, the campaign tailored its gripes about the Democrat to issues important to that state. (Kerry slams Bush on environment)
The site's claims included that Kerry voted to ease long-standing sanctions with Cuba, cut NASA funding, voted for higher taxes on Social Security benefits. Kerry aides said Bush's campaign is misrepresenting Kerry's voting record.
The site, part of the Bush campaign's overall rapid-response operation, also allows people to add their comments. (Kerry posts military records online)
