London bomb victims identified

LONDON, England (CNN) -- Officials have begun to name the people killed in the bomb attacks on three underground trains and a bus in London, England, on 7 July.

At least 52 people died and names are being released gradually as identities are confirmed and families informed.

Jamie Gordon, 30, from Enfield, north London, worked for City Asset Management in Old Street. He grew up in Zimbabwe and had been planning to settle down finally with his partner Yvonne Nash, his family said. Relatives issued a statement saying that he was "a kind, caring person who always put other people first." "Jamie touched many people's lives and the response to this tragedy is overwhelming," the statement said.

Philip Stuart Russell, 28, from Kennington, south London, appears to have only taken the bus after being evacuated from the London Underground on his way to work at JP Morgan, PA quoted his family as saying. His father, Grahame, said his son would normally have got off the subway at Moorgate, but in the unfamiliar surroundings of Euston he took the wrong bus. "I am just trying to mourn and grieve his loss. He's a wonderful kid that was in the wrong place at the wrong time," PA quoted Grahame Russell as saying.

Susan Levy, 53, a married mother with two adult sons, was on her way to work from Hertfordshire home north of London. Husband Harry Levy said in a statement: "We are all distraught at her needless loss and our thoughts and prayers are also with the many other families affected by this horrendous tragedy."
