BOOK OF THE WEEK
American Creation: Triumphs and Tragedies at the Founding of the Republic by Joseph Ellis
Pulitzer Prize winner Joseph J. Ellis is one of the most widely read scholars of the Revolutionary period, known for bringing the tales of the founding fathers to life. In American Creation, Ellis tells a terrific tale of the tumultuous years of America's founding - from the shots fired in Lexington and Concord in 1775 to Thomas Jefferson's Louisiana purchase in 1803. It is a great read for this anniversary of America's Declaration of Independence.
