Instead of releasing caucus vote totals, the Nevada Democratic Party releases a total indicating the number of delegates to the state convention each candidate will receive. Nevada has 24 pledged and eight unpledged delegates. Of the 24 pledged delegates, 16 are district-level delegates (based on results of a given district's binding primary), five are at-large delegates and three are "party leader and elected official" (PLEO) delegates. Of the eight unpledged delegates, seven are PLEO delegates and one is an add-on selected at the state Democratic convention on April 16-18, 2004.
