BEVERLY HILLS, California (CNN) -- Costume designers and many of those who don their creations gathered over the weekend to honor the best dressed films of the year.
For the first time in more than three decades, the 470-member Costume Designers Guild held a gala, hosted by actress Angelica Huston, to tap the top film designers.
Winners included "Pleasantville" costume designer Judianna Makowski for her 50's middle-America-inspired clothing and Albert Wolsky, who received a career achievement award for his work on such films as "Sophie's Choice," "All That Jazz" and "Bugsy."
