    From STYLE Correspondent Elsa Klensch

PARIS (CNN) -- Prints put the panache in the spring/summer Chloe collection from designer Stella McCartney.

She does withered flowers in the shape of spiders and places petals in Deco designs on soft chiffons. Whether mixed or matched, McCartney's prints capture the fresh mood of the season.

Fine craftsmanship also makes a bold statement, especially with hand-embroideries and hand-painting.

While there is McCartney's trademark tailoring, she says spring and summer call for something softer.

"I think for summer, there's less need for tailoring," she says. "I personally want to wear sort of dresses and be very light and very feminine."

McCartney says Chloe is about elegance and a sense of freedom that starts with fabrics.

"We actually created most of our own fabrics for this collection, there's a lot of lamé," she says.

Colors are dusty and relaxed -- from dusty red to steely blue.

Dresses have a floral prints, but with a twist.

"I have always liked floral prints in the summer, but I think they can be unrecognizable if you do a direct floral, so I've tried to keep the feeling of flowers, but actually have them more decaying, more kind of an insect feeling."
