The first annual Australian Internet
Awards site is a gateway to the best from down under. Check
out the finalists in a wide variety of categories.
Travel Australia
The Australian Tourist Commission home page is fun to visit,
even if you aren't planning a trip there.
The photo gallery is filled with stunning images of the
country, its people and, of course, its animals. A guide to
events has something for every interest. And there's a
glossary of terms so words like "fair dinkum" (meaning more
or less "that's the truth") won't cause confusion.
The site also offers a chance to win a trip to Australia
after users fill out a survey.
User-friendly
Here's Fisher West's Personal
WebPage. West describes himself as a web site developer,
graphic artist, advertising copywriter and part-time painter.
His site is full of his work, including hand-painted and
digital images. Plus, he has several backgrounds
downloadable for personal use.
For the kids
Youngsters will love Alex's
Scribbles -- Koala trouble.
The pictures and ideas come from 5-year-old Alexander Balson.
Dad Scott helps with the interactive stories.
Follow the adventures of Max the koala -- help him find his
mummy or race with his friend Platty the platypus, or host
Max on his World Trip.
The winners of the Australian Internet Awards will be named
September 24 at an event that will be broadcast live on the
Internet.
