| Breaking NewsNavy Helicopter Crashes with Crew of Six OnboardAired August 10, 2000 - 2:50 p.m. ETTHIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED. KYRA PHILLIPS, CNN ANCHOR: We are going to go straight to some video that we just received. These are the first pictures of the search-and-rescue efforts underway right now, following the crash of a military helicopter in the waters south of the Corpus Christi, Texas. This is believed possibly to be the first crew member being rescued from the helicopter crash. A Navy spokesperson told us earlier, the MH53E (ph) Sea Stallion helicopter was carrying a crew of six, when it plunged into the Gulf of Mexico. The helicopter was on a routine training mission. Still, no reports of why the helicopter, or to why the helicopter went down. Once again, these are the first pictures we have received. And as soon as we get more information about this Navy helicopter crash, we will bring it to you.
