ANDERSON COOPER, CNN ANCHOR: That's the way I feel every morning when I get up.

The only problem with reviewing a movie about a guy who can do hammer tosses with a tank is what do you tell if it stinks? After all, as he has been known to say on occasion when displeased, "Hulk smash!"

With that in mind -- lame Hulk imitation -- with that in mind, we're going to bring in the "People" magazine's movie reviewer Leah Rozen to tell us what she thought about Hulk and the summer's other big new movie, which opens next weekend, "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle."

LEAH ROZEN, MOVIE CRITIC, "PEOPLE" MAGAZINE: So I don't have to review your performance of "The Hulk"?

COOPER: No. No. Please do not, because we all know...

ROSEN: OK. It is a little Arnoldish.

COOPER: Yes.

So "The Hulk," which is the big movie this weekend opening up.

ROZEN: I like it.

COOPER: Do you really?

ROZEN: Yes, I do.

COOPER: It's gotten bad reviews elsewhere.

ROZEN: No, it's gotten some good reviews. It's actually -- the critics are kind of split, you know?

COOPER: OK.

ROZEN: "New York Times" wasn't thrilled. "Wall Street Journal" was not so thrilled. "Newsweek" liked it. I liked it. COOPER: Right. I think, frankly, with "The Times," I only read, like, the first two sentences of the reviews. So I never really know what they feel, but...

ROZEN: I think that one of the -- I'm -- it's going to be interesting to see what sort of fans of the comic book movie think. I kind of wonder if women aren't going to like this movie a little more than men.

COOPER: Why?

ROZEN: Because it takes a while for the action to get started. They actually do stories and characters for awhile.

COOPER: Stories and characters? What are you talking about?

ROZEN: Gosh, why would you?

COOPER: Who wants that?

ROZEN: Well, partly because it's directed by Ang Lee..

COOPER: Right.

ROZEN: ...who is the same guy who did "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon."

COOPER: And "The Ice Storm."

ROZEN: And "The Ice Storm." And I think what he does here is sort of what he did with "Crouching Tiger." He classes up the genre. I mean, he sort of add some thought, some intellectualism to it, but he also retains the thrills because once the Hulk emerges, once the scientist, Mr. Banner, gets irritated enough that he becomes the Hulk, this computer-generated imagery starts.

COOPER: Right. It basically -- I mean, I've just seen the previews and, but I've been disappointed in the actual animation. I mean, basically, it just looks like a computerized cartoon.

ROZEN: Like Shrek with hair?

COOPER: Yes, it seems so artificial to have a human who then transforms into this computer-animated figure.

ROZEN: I think it actually works because it is like a comic book. There's just this real sense of an imagination at work. When you see this guy sort of cover three miles in a single bound, leap on top of plane, You go, "Yes, they've really just let their imaginations goes wild with this." And it -- you know, the fun to comic books. Things can happen in comic books that could never happen in real life.

COOPER: Thank goodness. Well, that's interesting. It will be interesting to see how it does because the buzz on it is kind of mixed. ROZEN: The buzz is mixed and it's very different from other comic book moves. This is not "Spiderman," but I would much watch this than say, you know, that thing with Ben Affleck last week -- last...

COOPER: "Daredevil."

ROZEN: "Daredevil." Exactly.

COOPER: Yes. Right. Which I didn't even see.

All right. Let's talk about something really important. "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle."

ROZEN: Those girls rule.

COOPER: Opens up next weekend. This is going to be huge. I mean, there is just no way it's not going to make just oodles and oodles of money.

ROZEN: This one's going to be huge. It's going to make oodles and oodles of money because it's so much fun because people really had a good time at the last one.

"Charlie's Angel" -- it's pretty much the definition of a popcorn movie. Lots and lots of action. Lots and lots of scantily clad women. And, you know, in this one...

COOPER: I actually walked out of the first one, I got to tell you.

ROZEN: And was only 90 minutes long, Anderson.

COOPER: I know. I couldn't last. I think I made it through, like, 75 minutes and then I sounds like, I just don't even care anymore.

ROZEN: Well this one, they've got all these cameos. Who's going to show up next in the new one? And of course, Demi Moore.

COOPER: Is it Demi or Demi? I'm never sure.

ROZEN: We'll have to ask her personally.

COOPER: Well, as long as Crispin Glover is not in this one.

ROZEN: Yes, he is.

COOPER: Is he? Oh no! He's so creepy.

ROZEN: Yes. He comes back and he's just as creepy as ever.

COOPER: But it's worth seeing? I mean, it's popcorn fun?

ROZEN: It's popcorn. I mean, they're out to have fun. There is no meaning whatsoever. There's no intellectual content whatsoever. COOPER: Perfect.

ROZEN: They're out just to have fun.

COOPER: Perfect for the summer.

ROZEN: Have student and jiggle a whole lot onscreen.

COOPER: You said it, I didn't. Leah Rozen, thanks very much for being with us. "People" magazine's Leah Rozen.
