Bush to the rescue

President Bush this morning unveils a plan to spend $250 billion to buy stocks in banks, one of several measures the administration is working on to bail out the nation's financial system, CNNMoney reports. Nine banks will get money right away. President Bush makes a statement on the plan at 8:05 a.m. ET. Treasury Secretary Paulson will give more details at 8:30 a.m. ET. full story
