Nightclub worker Joe Barber, whose hand was burned while trying to pull people out of the building, talks to CNN:
"Once the smoke started coming through the building, there was really no escaping it. I mean the crowd just all of a sudden turned and all started to go out of the front door, and at that point there was really nothing anybody could do. It just became a giant jam. I was reaching into the front door to grab somebody to pull them out and the fire was just so hot that it just blistered my skin." |
