  • Ed O'Keefe is a senior vice president, overseeing CNN Digital Worldwide's content development. Ed focuses on franchises, partnership, and revenue development with a particular expertise in mobile, social, and streaming video content.

    Ed joined CNN in June of 2014 to lead the reimagining of CNNMoney, emphasizing core franchises such as Reliable Sources and the media team, tech, and markets taking the site from #8 at 16 million monthly unique visitors to #4 at 41 million monthly unique visitors, making it a top five comScore ranked business and financial site.

    He also remade CNN Politics, recruiting top writing and on-air talent, and building around core franchises such as The Point, KFILE, and the Magic Wall, marquee events such as debates, town halls, and special projects like #MyVote resulting in the #1 comScore ranked political news site for 3 consecutive years. In 2016, Ed expanded his premium business portfolio to include CNN Style, Travel, Media, and Entertainment.

    The premium business team also launched ExplorePartsUnknown.com - the digital companion to the Emmy and Peabody award winning Parts Unknown series with Anthony Bourdain - and partnered to distribute The Axe Files with David Axelrod.

    Before joining CNN, O'Keefe served as the editor-in-chief of NowThis. Prior to NowThis, O'Keefe spent twelve years at ABC News where he worked his way from a desk assistant in Washington to executive producer of ABC News Digital. While there, he held various positions including Senate producer and senior political editor. He is credited with forming the critical editorial alliance between ABC News Digital and Yahoo!.

    O'Keefe received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University, with concentrations in government, psychology and English.
