• Sonia Moghe is a producer in CNN's New York bureau specializing in breaking news and digital storytelling.

    Sonia's work for CNN has led her to cover some of the biggest domestic stories in the country. As a field producer, she's been on the ground for stories including the Pulse nightclub shooting, the killing of Dallas law enforcement officers, the death of Prince and in Ferguson for the Michael Brown shooting. She has covered the ongoing opioid crisis by talking directly to those suffering from addiction, and those fighting against the deadly drugs. She also reported for CNN Newsource as Hurricane Harvey made landfall, and during the days the storm continued to wreak havoc in her home state of Texas.

    Before coming to CNN, she was a local news reporter for KGAN in Iowa, WGCL in Atlanta and for stations in New York City. She earned her M.S. from The Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and her B.S. from Texas A&M University.
