• Vanessa Yurkevich is a digital correspondent for CNN. Yurkevich is responsible for reporting for CNN's Premium Businesses including CNN Politics, Money, Travel, Tech and Style on digital and broadcast.

    Yurkevich reports on immigration and has spent time reporting from the US-Mexico border. In a three-part series 'The Green Wall' Yurkevich spent months embedded with three border agents about life protecting the US border. Yurkevich also embarked on a one month road trip for the #MyVote Campaign Camper tour and traveled the country for the last month before the 2016 election talking to Americans about the issues that matter to them. She spent election night anchoring CNN's digital coverage from the Empire State Building.

    Yurkevich reports for CNN's digital political magazine //STATE in which she interviews Americans about the current state of politics. She's also created original content and series including Away, Political Anthropology, and the half hour TV special Agility in Action. She's also exclusively interviewed Richard Branson about his new Virgin Hotel chain, and interviewed billionaires Tommy Hilfiger and Related CEO Stephen Ross. She's sat down with singer-songwriter Luis Fonsi, Arianna Huffington, and Crown Prince Haakon and Princess Mette-Marit of Norway.

    Yurkevich has also anchored for CNN Newsource live from the NASDAQ market site. Before coming to CNN, Yurkevich helped launch the digital team at Blouin Artinfo where she reported on art, luxury, and travel. Yurkevich is fluent in Spanish and worked at NY1 News and NY1 Noticias where she covered immigration, politics, and travel. She's also reported for BBC, The New York Times -- The Local, and Associated Press Television in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

    She received the Scripps Howard Immigration Fellowship from the International Center for Journalists and the Knight Foundation's US - Russia Young Media Professionals Fellowship where she spent a month in Russia reporting for Russia's TV3.

    Yurkevich received her bachelor's degree from Fordham University in communications and Spanish. She also holds a certificate for Polish language from Hunter College.
